I got a wilton power arm junior and an OEM Stihl clamping plate as a stihl template. I was trying to get it modified to accept all the other bar stud sizes and spacings from other brands as well as all the tensioning assemblies without having to remove them.

Don't see a lot of these available retail - might be something to work out and sell?

When I worked for Sears Service back in the early 1990's, there was an old tech who used a bicycle clamp stand contraption to hold weed wackers while he was working on them.  I used it a few times.  Pretty handy...

The Park Tools bicycle stand could easily be adapted to hold chainsaws too.

Really nice.  But pricey, when I inquired.  Good tools are an investment for those who use them regularly, but cost can be a barrier for occasional / hobby users.

We had a long thread on it in CRG. Some guy had thought he came up with a new idea. So we were showing him all the different ones over the years.

He said he was going to patent his idea LOL

There have been several innovative ones posted in the forums, made by guys who can weld.  I saw the Panavise version in the background of a Husqvarna video discussing a new product.  So these are out there in various forms.  If I worked on saws regularly, I would seriously consider buying one of Tree Monkee's as pictured.  Looks really well thought out and made.

I do not think those would be difficult to make.    Some basic mig welding skills is all it would take.    You get some pipe sizes so that one pipe will slide into another and some flat steel.   Drill a hole into the pipe and weld a nut over the hole.   You could even weld a T-across the head of the bolt so you can make it tool less.

I think they are cool but I do not know if I really need one.    I have everything here in scraps to make one but I do not know how much I would use it as apposed to the regular ole bench top.
