I been following a fellows post to see what saw they are sending out now days for this recall. he sent in his old saw and got this back recently in its place.

I'm not sure if the recall is still being enforced.

I did check the s/n of my 500VL and it is post recall, but not by much.

I think a CS 450 is a weak replacement for the 500VL.  It should be at least a CS 500, or even a 590 would be a good one IMO.
Saw inventory changing daily...

Last known recall replacement was Oct 2014.  That I know of.

I'd rather have the cs500 then cs450 but I would take both over the 500vl. JMO
