Adjustable raker gauge  whatcha you using?

I have had this adjustable raker gage for years now and havent used in awhile. Just noticed it says made in canada.

Goes from 0 to 32 or little past to make ?  Has markings / 20 line 32 /

Oregon is the one everyone always wanted. But I never got one.

Several pics of the one I have and how it works with a dial to be adjustable. Also pic of the oregon one.

I own the exact 2 gaugit's Cut.
Reason I never use them is they work ok on one side but not the same readings on the other.
You and I know all the depth gauges on a loop of chain can't be filed from one side of the bar only. They only file without chatter with the lean not against the lean of the depth gauge.
When the end slot gaugit is flipped around on the bar the curvature in the rails is now different angle throwing the setting off.
The dial one is centered for even on both sides (a mark on the bar must be used to file every depth gauge at the spot)
But from memory for some reason which I never bothered to figure out, the dial model doesn't give equal setting for each side.
I'll have to give it another look this afternoon.
I haven't used a gaugit  since I was a teenage faller.
Always free hand on the flat and round files with my chains from new down to the witness marks.

I dug out those gauges. The end slot one I got is accurate to a point (dial and what it says is and what it does doesn't match).
The center dial one makes the right depth gauges lower then the left by about .008
Reason I figured out is the slot ledge is not equal in height on each end (warped)

My most accurate gauge is a 80 year old web saw jointer with a price tag of $1.85 marked on it. Then repriced at $2.70 ;)
Here's 3 pics

I prefer the Husqvarna roller guide w/ progressive drag gauge.  I would love to try the carlton fileoplate.

I got one of those too somewhere deep in the tool chest.
At least that one is accurate on both sides of the chain.
