Yes.  But other than the tilting functionality the vice was just like a 510a model. It had the swing arm clamp with the ball or cone on the end. Some of the balls or cones were red and some were black.

The chain sharpener at the Husqvarna dealer closest to me is a 511A with a light. The closest Dolmar dealer has a Windsor labeled grinder that is essentially a 511A.

I get the idea that the 511AX vice is cheaper to make as many parts are plastic. The 510 and 511A vices are all metal except for the knobs. Both vices will wear out with heavy commercial use. 3/8 pico and .325 NK chains are more problematic in these vices because of the smaller driver links

In looking around it appears the Jolly Star (511AX) base plate for the tilting type vice part number is K00200165

I think I am going to look for a 511A.  The cam style clamping does not bother me.  I will probably shop around for something new.

Well I found a used 511A that was in very good condition.   I received it about 2 days ago and it came with a mounting also.

Today I attached some square tubing to the side of my bench that the mount for the sharpener will slide into.

I tried sharpening one chain on it today and it works great.   I will have to get a pic tomorrow.    I am going to do another chain tomorrow.

Yep already have put one on that was on my Tecomec.   Love those wheels, no build up, no dressing, just always keeps it's shape from cutter to cutter.

I have a Tecomec Jolly vice on my 511A and Cut4fun didn't notice any difference. There isn't any difference except the color or shape of the knobs and that is more of a time of manufacture thingy.
