I'm down for 404, don't care about length, I'll just cut to length

i would like to try the 404, but good with whatever.

...don't really know if anyone has it around here......hopefully someone here could make/sell an extra loop if need be?
I have several loops of 21" stihl RS loops. I would sell some if that's the length we choose. I have a large mount bar that can be adapted to run on a 660 mount.

I have been running a 20" .404 bar on a 660 for a couple of weeks now. It pulls it good with an 8t gear. Would do better with a 7t but I like the chain speed. I am in for .404. Think a 20" would be good. Helps to keep the cost down for those guys that don't run any .404.

Does anyone have any spare used chain they want to part with?  I have never used any .404 nor do I have any.
Don't really want to go buy brand new

Might want to wait till we see what folks decide.  Might want to vote in the poll to see the results so far.

Also welcome to the site and share info where you can. All willing to learn here and share freely when we know the answer.

My stand can hold a pile of cant's or bigger stuff. We can do 28" loops and I can fit 4 12x12 on there at once no problem.

I think give it a few more days and then pick. Looks like 3/8" is the clear winner. Bar length looks like 20".
