Disston - Mercury Chainsaw
« on: September 11, 2014, 02:04:57 pm »
This is a collection of pictures in the preceding posts of a clean but non running Disston - Mercury twin cylinder chainsaw. These are very beautiful running "old school" chainsaws from the early 1950's. The chainsaw mechanism is made by Disston but the engine itself was made by the Mercury outboard motor company. For a chain saw to have a engine made by a different company was very common in the 1950's. The actual source of the pictures was from a Craig's list ad in Kansas City.
