Need Help on PS-32C 3/8ths Chain degree and angle
« on: July 02, 2014, 10:56:47 am »
My Dolmar PS-32C never has cut any good mostly dust >:(. The ser. no. is 37270Y of the saw. On the handle chain no. is 3/8ths 511.290.046. I have on clue on sharpen it on degree and angle on my 511 oregen bench sharpener. Or a better angle and degree. It was never had sharpness when I got it. I used a 5/32 file it helped some.I would like to know the angle and degree to the chain or what would be a good one for it.Like I said it hardly cuts. It is a anti-kick back chain and it say's dolmar on the chain.I what to cut not dust.

Thanks You
Jason

Set the 511 up with a 60 degree top angle using the operator (inside) degree scale.

Set the vice up for a 30 degree top plate angle (this will have to be set 30 degrees, the other direction, when you do the cutters on the other side)

Set the tilt angle at zero degrees.

This is the settings they will use at the chainsaw shop.
