Echo CS670/CS6700 compatibility.

New here to this place. Just picked up a Echo CS6700 pretty cheap. Was checking things out and noticed the cylinder is pretty jacked up (has some gnarly scratches). It still fired right up and seemed to have pretty good compression. Will a CS670 P/C fit on a CS6700?

I had a 6700 I never looked into that before.  I know there is some changes.

But if you search echo 670 cylinder etc it tells you what all models it would fit. I know there was intake changes etc.  So just check IPL's  and compare.

Echo
Gen1 6700
Gen2 670
Gen3 680

6700 cyl  10100132431
670 cyl A130002000

Says 670 compatible with 680 but didnt say 6700. So do your homework.  GL

Thank you, I've been looking around trying to find anything I can but not seeing much. I saw some thread on a forum from like 12 years ago where a guy said he put a 680 cylinder on a 6700 with a 670 intake but there were no other replies on it.
