IMO if you happen to get the meteor c-clips that are double tailed (pass on the meteor 2 tail ones) use the oem if they fit the groove.

I have had no problems from the single 1 tailed meteor clips, if that is what comes in your kit use them.

My not so stock 10mm 044 has been living with the double eared clips for quite some time now.
I don't run it a lot, but since the rebuild I've put 3.4hrs on the top end. (OEM jug, Meteor piston & clips, OEM pin & bearing).
With all the negative hype Ive heard about the double ear clips, I expected catastrophic failure within the first 5mins.
That was many gallons of fuel ago.
