The 345 has a full clamshell design whereas the 350 has the adapter section and a removable cylinder.

Yes the two saws are of the same family and the cranks are the same.

Some models and years have different carbs between them and other years the carbs are the same.

OK just done a little research. Seems crankcases might be same or real close.

So being the 345 is clamshell cylinder. It seems you could pull the clamshell 345 cylinder and run the 350 adapter and make a 350 or poor man's 346 cylinder bolt on them. Watcha think?

I think the different carbs situation has more to do with the primer bulb outlet?

That kit I posted is designed to do just that, convert a 345 to a 346 top end.

Whats better? The 346 top end in a 350 or a 353 piston in a 350??

If you have a 52cc 350 it is a lot cheaper to put a Meteor 353 flat top piston in it.

If you have the early 350, I think I would go with the 346 bigger bore assembly.
