Yep............and there is no damn way I'd buy that POS over a good used 394/395XP for similar money.

If I had $400 of saw $ burning a hole in my pocket I'd have bought a good rebuilder 394XP that a friend offered to sell me (and would have had beer money left over after rebuilding it)...

Common sense or value for money was never his idea in this Bummer ag thread, just another angle to be noticed and get another 2 years worth of thread and attention. The story would of been exactly the same as the others ,   big bore kit, modified to hell or even an 090 cylinder on top, modified mac parts , anything to be noticed and, do all that without even starting the bloody thing.

The very fact he started the thread in this Modified saw section was enough indication of the Bull Poop to come.

Well done Kevin to stop it when you did.

I am late to reading this because his threads are not interesting to me, but instead they just agitate me.
So Neil I could not agree more with you and Kevin good call.

Exactly and I felt I gave him a very long leash in the past.  But enough was a enough.

Your right Neil that is what he is doing again. LMAO  =  Bore and stroke is 54x40 now if only I can get the 090 barrel on it I have pistons in 70mm as well ... and presto 157cc 10 cubes.

Any unknown folks are to bedazzled.  :D :D :D

BLAH BLAH BLAH I never even seen the past ones ever start and cut. Good riddance mcboob ;)

For anyone remotely interested, the build is on over yonder on the Hawzs forum, making it sound like he's done plenty of this stuff, with the 090 top end,,, the local lads are giving him  the encouragement needed for him to actually do something, the mods even changed the name to a more suitable thread name.
Its all going to happen shortly but no vids sorry,     quote '' i don't want to ruin my reputation'' unquote.....
http://sawhawgz.com/showthread.php/4738-Yet-another-thread-where-mcbob-makes-all-kind-of-claims-and-offers-no-proof-to-back-them-up

F :-X :-X :-X  :o that. Not interested at all in what he has to say.

I paid $3000 for a chainsaw once.  When I got done with it I got my money back too.
Matter of fact when I said I was going to sell it I had a line that day and could have sold 3 more.
Understood, but I'm not a collector so to me they are tools for collecting my firewood and fun projects to see what I can get out of them - neither would ever justify that expense to me.  Rather it is enjoyable for me to work on them because I can make something nice without making a large investment.

The only new saw that tempts me is a 545 - I really want an AutoTune saw as I am tired of these crap carbs that puke unburned fuel all the time.  It's just gross and wasteful.

Not a collector either.  Only tools to me, expect when they were the racesaws.

New 545 shipped to my door PHO was $400 from spike.

That is a saw worth talking about.

My G621 clone was around $210 delivered, but then I knew it was based on a saw I liked.

LOL - that's still the most I've ever paid for a saw!

Lets see if it is $389 AUS dollar

389 AUD = 282.62133 USD  and about $130 shipping US dollar.

That puts in the used 660 066 394 395 prices for the better deals.

I thought it was kind of interesting until I saw the half way A/V system with the rigidly mounted front bar.  Not that you can even get one in the US, and I don't really need a 92cc saw, but it looks a little crude.

The thing that appealed to me about the two Chinese clones I have is that they are copies of excellent Zenoah/RedMax designs, and with a little attention to proper assembly and cleaning up of parts I could essentially have good saws for cheap.  This is some other design that lacks that appeal for me, but I'm still curious where it came from and what the engine looks like inside.

It kinda reminds me of what a Power Products engine & saw might be like if someone tried to update it and tack on a A/V system!

Found this pic to repost back here.

So who is going to spend their $350-$400 on this so we can see the cylinder etc.  Other wise it would have been drawn out over a couple years.

Also reading suppose to be 40mm stroke.

Magnus just deleted his whole threads and post with missing info.

mcboob removed his pics from PB to get back at Magnus and his site. So this site pays the price to and I contacted mcboob and he said he has no plans on fixing his pics in thread.

So bye bye. Good riddance IMO.

I heard he got into it with another site over the china saws and this was his way of removing his pics from that site. Moving the photobucket links killed the pics there.

Well this also effected us here. Total BS IMO!

Looks like a large Husky mount...............but a true large Husky mount would have a 9mm slot.  Sometimes they're closer to 9.5mm.  10mm would be the old obsolete D024 Jonsered mount.

You could use a D096/D196/UXL Homelite XL mount (or a D176 Echo mount, D007 Pioneer/Partner/PoulanPro mount, or a D005/D009 large Husky mount, or...) and just open up the slot a bit to fit the studs.  What's the diameter of the stud shoulders?

Decision made its out with the file the Baumr Ag SX 92 studs are 10mm

I have one of the 62cc G621 clones - mildly ported, gasket deleted and muffler modded, it runs great.  Love the saw, at least after I disassembled it and put it back together properly (clutch was on backwards, etc.)!  Most of the others are not available here.

China easy peasey

Well, yeah!  I'm wondering where the design came from though.  Many of the Chinese saws are old Zenoah designs, or copies of other saws.  I'm betting this one is their own, but I'm hardly very knowledgeable when it comes to older saws.

It's a strange beast for sure!  Anyone recognize any design cues that might give a hint where it originated?

It does look like the carb feeds into the case, so it must be reed valve.

66cc 76cc too. cost more on this site but can see them all  http://www.myshopping.com.au/ZM--1278739140_Baumr_AG_92cc_Petrol_Commercial_Chainsaw_24_Bar_Chain_Saw_Pruning_E_Start
Most of the rest of those are variations of the Zenoah G621 design.  This is clearly not.

Wasnt saying the 92cc was ;). Clearly anyone can tell that I hope.  :P

Photo time fellas carb is under the saw see what I believe is the reed valve

Carby layout

Cylinder has a heat baffle between it and the fuel tank

Coil 1 piece unit and coil mount

E-clip for clutch drum

Inside the starter

Side adjust for bar and chain tension

Under the fuel tank

video says = Baumr-ag SX92 in action. First cuts
PLEASE READ THIS. 2 cuts after this video the saw started 4 stoking (running rough like on half a clylinder) took the spark plug out and it was fouled(covered in oil).So i turned the high screw in 1/4 a turn (clockwise for those who don't know) and replaced the chineses plug with NGK. Saw is now running at full strength and how a 92cc saw should run also it started idling high so turned the low idle screw out until the idle came down which was only about 1/8 of a turn.I have used alot of saws and this one has impressed so far.Now its just how long will it last.I'm sure it will be fine. LOL

Same as any other saw regardless once their broken in they need retuning

Access to the high and low mixture screws is through the rear handle and has a rubber guide to aid in locating these screws and it least the screw driver won't slip off during tuning and the screws are well marked for high and low.

In the video of the fella removing the top shroud he has to remove the starter assy as theres a stepped mound on that attachment point for the chainbrake pivot that's holding the top cover in place.
Plus you will need to pop the fuel line off don't forget to empty the fuel tank first.

Na its a beast in its own right appears to be a reed valve engine the induction system is excessable by removing a perforated cover under the saw their really no need to remove the top shroud as removing the top shroud means removing the starter housing 3 screws and 3 more to git the top shoud off not hard i'll post some some pics of the bar mount it's possibly stihl or huskie i'd say

It has a stand alone cylinder with the induction side all mounted on the crankcase that's why i'm saying reed valve

So before most of you fellas start knocking something you know nothing about give me a bit more time to sus this thing out as the saw appears to reasonably solid in its build nothing like the smaller **** saws I have seen around

I kind of suspect this is not a copy of anything - this guy never was able to get the top cover off:

Looks like a bit of a nightmare to do basic maintenance.

It comes with .404 chain so that is why they probably did the roller nose. I'd like to get my hands on some of those roller nose tips.

What size you needing? 2.5" are as many as you need $10 a pop NOS.    I just sold a NOS 2.80" to a racer. Plus you can buy new 2.80" as many you want for $50-$60.

This thing is kinda primitive.  Note the rigidly attached front handle, in spite of the "A/V" shown for the rear handle.

I'm wondering if it is this:

The case below the muffler looks different though.

We're going to need several detailed pics of this thing as you go through it Bob.  Doesn't look to be a direct copy of any one particular design (at least that I recognize).  It's pretty well obscured under the covers.

That thing has a RN bar!  Didn't think we'd ever see that on a new saw again.  Have you looked to see what mount that bar is?  By the pics in their eBay listing it looks to be D009 large Husky.

I agree - fun to play what saw is that under the covers?  That fuel tank on top must be a giveaway, as most saw designs have it in the case or the handle assembly, so moving it would be more trouble than it's worth.

McBob ....... whose proberly McWong but lets see how it rates against the 660 from Stihl
