JD 800V Echo 8000 john deere
« on: July 03, 2014, 07:20:49 pm »
To many saws not getting used and going to start with some echos first.

I took it in trade 2010 or 11  on some racesaw stuff.

Older echo 8000 in John Deere colors 80.7cc. No chain brake just hand guard. Where the OEM hand guard mounted broke off mount on handle.  So It has a older poulan style handguard.

Has had the squish tighten up 195psi and everything back to stock. Muffler modded.
Never had to remove cylinder for any looks so going by original owners word I trust.  Carb has had some work done to it to help in the cuts.

I still think they would make a good 5ci racesaw too.

PHO $400 or something can be worked out if b+c needed. I only have up to a 24" though and pretty sure this saw would pull 36".

Some pics before I put the handguard on.

Should mention I guess that I am open to trades on things that go bang etc.   This goes for all saws for sale or willing to part with not listed.

Just trying to get the saw amounts down a little further in my stable.

These are pretty rare.  It would be a good score for any collector.  Homelite replaced Echo at the John Deere dealers in 1988.

Notice the 2nd pic down shows the oem dawgs installed. Most of the pics were without them being on at the time.

That 800 looks nice Kevin, but like you  I have to clean out my stable too.
I just ordered  a new diesel pickup, which leaves me thinking.....lot's of money going out, but need to do a little house cleaning of some excess and get a little $ coming back. ;D
Making a living with a saw since age 16.

Packing a 181SE up for a trip now too.   I know that 272 of yours would look good in a collectors hands.
