For my next project (i haven't even completed my first, LOL) I was thinking something older, 70's or early 80's.what do you guys think of the 125's? How is parts hunting for these beast? I know their are kart derivatives around for the big Macs so motor parts might not be as bad as some other oldies.

Try one of these A Mac 125 - G ............. 123CC and a 3-1 reduction gearbox

If you would be more interested in just buying a whole saw with a long bar and chain, then I have a friend that has one for sale for $425 plus shipping.

Wow, nice. Honestly I know little about Macs. I run all Stihls for work and my first prodject saw is a poulan 505, witch I just about have sorted out thanks to help from you guys. The last time I was close to a Mac was when my father through his across the yard, he ran poulans till he died after that. I don't know, I want a big cube old saw and what better then a Mac....kind of like slaying that dragon!
