Chainsaw Repair

Have you replaced your impulse line?  They like to crack down by the crankcase where they connect to cylinder.

I might have some 164 left. Can check.  Think I just sold my last 137.

You can also run the smaller 49. It was used on the 365 3500 C3.7 60cc too.  I have bunch of those carbs still.

Thread here on the carbs etc. 

I dont have no new ones. Those are long gone. Just used stuff in those now.   If you have a 49 around. Try that on there and make sure it is a carb issue IMO. 

Why I like having known good carbs to put on to make sure that is the issue. Before buying other carbs.

Different poulan but you will get idea where impulse runs to at back of cylinder or crankcase on the older in pics. 

Then BLACK line at top of carb.

3750 shouldnt have 2 line coming from the tank.  The older poulans did like 3300 etc before switching to the tank vent on upper left side on 3750 etc.
Someone might have added a tank vent there and plugged off the side one?  Some folks do that.

3750 didnt have primer bulbs either. That was a later plastic poulans thing.

Thanks for continuing to help on this. Here is a forum of my exact saw on this forum (60cc 24" Craftsman). I thought it was a 3750 Poulan equivalent but maybe its a red headed step child 3500??

There the reason you have 2 lines out of tank. 1 fuel line and other tank vent.  The impulse line in BLACK in the pic above will be the one to check to back of crankcase to top of carb.  The 2 yellow ones are tank vent and fuel line.

Still 60cc but earlier then 3750. Also they didnt come with a 164 carb. They came with a 49 carb.  So look for carb numbers on side of your carb.  Because I have and others have put bigger intakes and the bigger carbs on saws like these in past.
