Well I pulled a bonehead move today and it likened to have broke my heart.
Cut a big load of honey locust and on the way back to the house I had to cross a small ditch at the uphill side of the landowners asphalt driveway. (it is to keep from washing dirt, gravel etc. onto the driveway.)
Flipped my favorite Craftsman 3.0 off the trailer right on the rear handle...... :'(

They snap real easy at 14 degrees.
Thank goodness I have a 3000 Poulan donor saw with a pristine handle.

Dang that hurts.
We all do it from time to time.   I know I have a PP335 that I stuck in the back cut while it was buried up to the bucking spike.   I could not get the power head off so, I had to just let the tree fall with the saw in there.   I was lucky though nothing happened to the saw.   I just misread the lean.

Well the Craftsman is back together as good as before.
Actually better than before with new fuel lines and a half pound of saw grunge lighter!
It's funny how we get attached to a particular thing.
I have a Mastermind ported 330, a NOS 330, a PP 305 in near mint condition, a PP 305 with a 3300 top end (that one is my truck saw) and I just seem to be partial to this black and gray Craftsman.

I guess it might be because no one expects it to run like it does.
I always get "the look" when I drag it out but when the chips start flying and they see the Craftsman running with, or outrunning their Stihls and Huskys their eyes get a tad "rounder"!!!
I just can't keep from smiling when that happens. ;D

 Mike I have found that the bare bore 3.0 49cc is only in the craftsman versions too.  Never seen a bare bore poulan in that series to date.  So we need to take care of them grey 3000  ;) ( I got 1 too and cant tell any difference in it and the 305 I had).
