A cottonwood log that was 17" on one end and tapered to about 15" was $20. $30 if they cut it into a Cant

I can check on the price for a 24" + softwood (or hardwood)? This mill is right next door to my house.

Just looking for a dropped log.  I have some I think would take a 20" buried out  back maple.

No cants for me anymore.

I don't have anything down. But I have big standing ash that I could get but it sounds like you found an ash.

Thanks.

The other is about 2-3 times longer drive then up your way. I think.

I know of a big tree that a guy wants gone 10 mins from you on 598.It needs topped tho. I'm sure he will let you hack the trunk up after the top is dealt with. He's very good company and he would feed ya lol. Its a big cottonwood or willow I cant remember. Its got a huge trunk.

 :-[  :'(

I'm just not finding the time to do this big stick testing. Just that time of year where I am swamped.

I am just going to compare in the 17" to 17.5" maple bucking with the 800 505 181 all just wearing 7T. Yeah I know should go 8T, but I'm not really worried that part. Just want to feel them all 3 in the cuts back to back.

So now maybe someday I can at least do this out back after getting the saws set up.
