I did one using the XT carburetor (RWJ-4). It goes pretty good but the addition of the XT carburetor did not make much of a difference to me, perhaps to the stopwatch but just cutting with it no difference.

Let me know how your 064 saw goes. I am using a Hyway 372 BB kit as the base for the ones I do. Also, I used the Meteor 064 piston because the insides of the piston pin boss are flat and is easier to remove the necessary metal when starting out with a flat surface.

I have used both Meteor and OEM Stihl/Mahle brands for the 064 piston. You will have to remove some metal from the inner faces of the piston pin boss to clear the small end of the 372 rod and insure proper oiling. In order to figure out how much to take off I measured an OEM/Mahle 372 piston. I have machined it off and did it the redneck way with a good flat file. Easier to do it with a flat file on the Meteor pistons because the inner faces of the piston pin boss on Meteor pistons are already flat. The Mahle pistons are rounded and difficult to do with a file. Also make sure you have enough clearance on the skirt for the crank throws.
