Certainly a smooth sounding saw

I love that twin cylinder sound.  That's a big ticket model that I might have to pony up for some day.  I've ran the Echo twin, and while it's cool..............it doesn't do it for me.  Since it's a simultaneous firing twin, it sounds just like a single to my ear.  It is a very smooth saw and a cool piece of engineering though...

For older saws:
Tune the H side so that it 4-strokes (burbles) at WOT unloaded and just cleans up when under load.
When you lift cutting load, the saw should immediately revert to 4-stroking.  Fine tune the transition point for the wood you're cutting.

Right!

The Echo Twin is nice but the Solo has that magic twin sound.

As I had mentioned before I had ran Larry S's twin .It wasn't the fastest saw of that displacement but it cut effortlessly and very smoothly .It's a very collectable saw to say the least .
