041 FarmBoss no spark

Have a 041 with SEM ignition (no points) and it has no spark. It looks like there are 4 magnets on flywheel but only 2 are magnetic. Are all 4 supposed be magnetic?

Should only be 2 magnets. There are 2 flat spots on the flywheel. And yes they should be magnetic. Have you checked you ignition lead from the coil to the plug for bare spots and cracks that would cause it to ground. Also check your kill switch wire. Have seen a few get rubbed threw from how they are routed. Then check your on/off switch. And last but not least your coil maybe no good. Also check your armature gap.

Pretty sure it needs a coil but cant seem to find just coil only whole ignition. Any ideas? I have checked chainsawr, sawagain, and ebay.

The coil you are looking for should be part number 1110 404 3210. That coil is only found on a 041 and a 045. Put a post in the wanted section for it someone on here my have a used one.
