Thanks again for the info.  I just put a new OEM clutch drum, rim sprocket and bearing on the saw. the bearing fits the crank nice and tight (no slop)
But this saw still has a ringing coming from the clutch area. would weak clutch springs cause the ringing sound
the ping-ping-ping metallic sound some saws make just sounds to loud from this saw. I'm gonna put new springs on it now to see if it makes a difference.
