Chainsaw Repair

Though the 462s we get here are non Mtronic with regular carbs, the ignition has the inbuilt ignition auto adjust which i think accounts for some crankshaft failures here.
Also several coil failures.
A couple of repair shops here asked me for an alternative.
And, after some looking around i found the coil of a Emak GS 720 works.
But it too has some unwelcome electronics in it. But, i have used it on a FS100 and a FS 130 brushcutter.
But i have also used after market coils for Honda brushcutters on the FS 100 and FS 130 brushcutters because they have no fancy electronics.
So logically the Honda coil should work on the 462, since the GS720 coil works.
Hope to buy a Honda coil tomorrow and try it .
The only issue is only one mounting hole aligns on the 462.
But that is another animal to handle later
