Curiosity has me wondering.....

It's the bar oil....it just leaks out if I forget to lay the saw on the bar side(like I did this Sunday afternoon and noticed this evening....again).

Is it common?  Is there a 'fix' for this problem?

The damned o-ring goes funky and they leak .I've got the number some place if I can find it .The whole cap is like 8 bucks or the o-ring about a buck or two for a dozen generic metric size .

Generally I would agree the caps are a problem.

But I decided to see if the 'flippy' is the 'bad guy' in this case.  No bar oil on, near, or around the cap area....
Now I have no way of pressuring the bar oil reservoir to see where the oil is seeping from and probably wont want to spend the money to have it done.  But thanks for the ideas....

Update:

Bad idea number one!
Cleaned the saw really good, leak has increased(it's not coming from the flippy-seems to be coming from the oiler).  So I will take her out and get her filthy this weekend during a milling job....probably need to knock some limbs off the logs to get them through the mill(always have to clean up after someone on a job site).

Here is a pic of the oil line, and the plastic elbow which it attaches, and it is bolted onto the
saw's housing on the bottom of the oil pump.  It has an o-ring {visible}...

The elbow presses/holds the oil line in the hole of the oil tank....

Look for leaks in these areas.....
