What is the  ms362 and ms441 going for in your neck of the woods? Reason I ask is that I'm considering getting one of these 2 saws and want to know if that's a fair price.

362 is $749
441 is $949

Afraid so here too.  Crazy  high  IMO.  But is a sign of the times.

The last MS440 updated HD2 run last year or year before was in the high 7's.  Just sad but hey a 15K truck in 89 is now 40k-50k in 14.

Are you dead set on stihl and new?

Yea pretty much on the stihl but I have never ran a pro husky either. At least a newer one anyway.  I would buy a good used stihl but Everything I've looked at just is a couple hundred below new or the bar looks like it's been ran through the mill. Spotted and all the paint gone.

Look out for fakes. I've seen some on cl in OK. The colors won't be quite right on some of these clones and often some decals will be missing or have different style lettering. And, of course, it will be new or like new for half the dealer price. I've seen this firsthand, they're out there. There have been threads on these saws. Let us know what you choose.
