UV blocking clear coat
« on: June 15, 2014, 12:23:34 pm »
Trying to find a clear coat that will help keep saw plastic from bleaching out due to UV. Husqvarna orange is the worst IMO!

Saw this stuff:
http://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/auto/specialty-paints/paint-for-plastic-clear
and this stuff:
http://www.krylonindustrial.com/products/krylon_fusion_for_plastic_clear_finish

Thought about trying these and perhaps an automotive coating for this purpose. Perhaps paint a piece of good plastic with each, leaving out in the weather for the rest of the summer and see what happens! Anyone messed with this, or have an opinion?
