Echo 650 flyweel
« on: December 25, 2013, 01:21:20 pm »
Looking for a good used flywheel for my John Deere chainsaw.
It is either a Echo 660 or 650  not sure which.

Original part number for the 650 flywheel is  15080114330

Original part number for the 660 flywheel is   15080118431

maybe someone can tell me the difference and help  with a replacement.

Could also use the STOP/RUN switch if anybody has one  P/N  163-400-1433-0
Thanks to all

I got a 660 parts saw here and I know it has a flywheel. I'll check and see if it has the switch as well.

Thanks Jacob,
My further investigation has found that the Echo CS-650 EVL is the clone of the John Deere 65EV
Still do not know if the flywheels are interchangeable.

Do you know if your saw uses points? That might be the difference. My 660 parts saw uses an electronic ignition and the IPL for the 650 shows either points or an electronic ignition set-up and I know the flywheels are different between the two.

The ignition is a one piece electronic ignition as shown below.

I was able to find a gently used original flywheel thanks to Bryan in VT.
He contacted me last year over on SawHawgs before they went down for an upgrade.
The flywheel is complete with good springs and ratchets and no broken fins.

Bryan, bplust, is one of the newest members here as of a couple days ago.

Thanks Bryan.

Cool.

If he is here and  has parts  to help folks out tell him to get posting.  Like we know it's all free here to sale etc as everyone is part of the team here to help folks.
