Nice little show that is growing. A.S.S. located in Southeast OH.

Lot of the Sawfest guys going to this one too now.

Added a vintage hotsaw class now too. Heard my ole dolmar 166 hotsaw might get a run in that class.

$10 per class, full payout.

This is for the 2026 Appalachian Saw Shootout April 11, Rio Grande Memorial Park (screenshot in the post, link in the comments)
Stock saw.
Everyone will run the same saw in the same log. 2 cuts. Hot start on the ground. Beginner friendly.

3.1, 4, 5, 6 cubic inch prostock.
No heads allowed, must be a 1 piece cylinder.
pump gas (no alcohol, methanol, nitro, e85, or any kind of fuel additives).
Must run a muffler (modified is fine and expected.)
Covers must be in place.
these classes will be hot start (saw running) on the ground, 3 cuts in 6 inches.

3.1, 4, 5, and unlimited cubic inch modified classes. Pipe saws and mufflers will run together.
Heads are welcome
any fuel is fine

these classes will be cold start on the ground. 3 cuts in 6 inches.

All classes (except stock saw) will be in 8x8 wood (likely pine). Square ground, any pitch, any gauge acceptable in all 8 classes.
Prize money to be determined. I am working on sponsors, and we are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Rio grande Police Department.
If you believe someone is cheating, you have until the end of that class to call them out to the official judge, if you wait until after the next class starts, get over it and move on, this is for fun and you're taking it too seriously. You must give 40 bucks to the judge when you do. If the accused party is guilty, you can keep your money. If they are innocent, they keep your money.
Registration opens at 9am, racing begins at 11am.
