I got the 335 Predator back together and took it for a quick check.   Saw runs good and I think I will stay with the 3/8, 16", .050 bar and chain on it.    I did the usual muffler mod, dropped the cylinder, advanced the timing, widened the intake and exhaust.    I put a new ring in it and cleaned up all the carbon from the piston and cylinder.    After running it and letting it cool down I got a 200 psi out of it so once again I am very pleased about that.   I like building these to add torque not neccessarily RPM.    Since cut4fun put up the before pictures I will provide the after pictures.

How did you end up fixing that crack in the brake handle pivot point?  Looks newer in that area now.

I ordered a whole new brake handle and cover.   It was still in stock. 
 Sometimes you get lucky.

From what I've seen (I researched a replacement brake handle when I was watching that ebay auction...LOL), the handle isn't available by itself, but the whole cover with brake parts is.  Glad to see it was actually true, and not one of the Poulan parts 'wild goose chases' that some of use have experienced with 'in stock' parts on Poulan parts sites... 8)

Oh I have had my share of those goose chases believe me.
   I was looking for a handle only also because I did not know if I would find a red cover.   
Just goes to show you never know until you try.

That's true.  I didn't say I got the run around from Poulan's site.  Sorry if it looked like I did.  Just meant sites that have Poulan parts listed on.....dammit you knew what I meant.:D

This is the cylinder I am thinking is a 335 on my shelf.  Piston is 2 thin rings and no longer usable with it's severely stuck rings and NLA rings.  :'(

Cylinder look like 335 to you guys?  One of those things I took in and forgot about.
