Someone with 256 behind their name has the bid at 88$. Someone pushed the bid up a dollar at a time. I hate that, just figure out what you are willing to pay, bid that, you will get it or you won't.

I am with you.   I usually wait till the last day and then put my bid in.  If I get it fine if I don't then ok.

Same here, sometimes when a guy makes a whole ton of little bids, I suspect they are a schil for the seller and I walk away!

Be careful about bidding on something for the heck of it . . .

A couple years ago there was a reasonable Husqvarna 365 special w 28" bar come up on Ebay with a 6 day bid. For some reason I made the first $250 bid. 6 days later, I was stuck with it.  Guy claimed it started and ran great etc. When received, it was dry as a bone and looked like it hadn't been touched in a few years.

It appeared to have been a tree service ground saw? In other words, used professionally by a none owner.  Luckily, the 365 Special started right up but the metering valve diaphragm was stiff. After replacing the diaphragms, I enjoyed using it with a 20" bar for about a year and checked the compression which turned out to be only 120 pounds. But it stihl starts and cuts good. The piston is smooth. One of these days I'll make it a 372?

There's nothing wrong with the Oregon 28" bar/chain but I have not got around to needing it. Maybe on one of my 7900's?

Not I.  I was following the non running 54cc parts saw 3450 closer. Still to high for my blood for a parts saw. $43 with $27 shipping.

Guess I need to put my project 3450 with like new 60cc topend together.

Guesses excluding the shipping.  Just count the final bid on 380 itself?  Anyone.

I'll go $220

I would say that is a good guess.

Lots of activity, my guess is 250+! Now up to 173.50 with 6 hours to go and 30 bids so far.

I sometimes use a site called gunbroker.com they have a system where if you bid in the last 5mins (IIRC) the end time of the auction gets extended by 15 mins. Sort of stops sniping.
