That saw  cut  with a muffler modded dual port MS440 71cc in 14" ash hardwood using same very aggressive chain on the saws.  It out cut a stock 372xp 71cc in same wood and chain.   Just saying.
I can believe it!  I was thinking of getting a 440 that has the cylinder base cut and a dual port muffler.  I was also thinking of a 372 with a 52mm big bore kit.  But I'm starting to think that any 70-75cc saw I get will need to be ported as well.  Otherwise, what's the point of having a bigger, heavier saw that can't outcut Redmax by a decent margin?  I don't really want to do 80cc due to weight concerns, so ported it will have to be.
