Is the epoxy missing from both the stop pivot arm (1) and the butterfly stop in the end of the air chamber(2)?

The Magic setting is for the flap to be completely closed all around at the idle position.

both arms were never taken off they look like they are all turning together nothing is loose from the arms to the shafts ,the black plastic arm with the screw it has about a 5mm gap before it hits the throttle arm

yes it is i cant see any light through it when i put a light behind it

Did you read all the far left column of page 101 in the workshop manual? All the different parameters are listed there?

Basically the flap should follow the throttle except it goes from fully closed to fully open.

At cold start position, the air flap should be closed

At warm start position - the air flap is supposed to be open 10 degrees

yes i did read that seems to be running ok where i have it now ill take it out and cut with it later today .thank you  for all your help

Not only are you evaluating the saw in the cut . . .
