can anyone tell me what would be blowing my pull starter pawls,clip and real apart, the real  pawls clip are aftermarket are they just that much junk or could it be something with the fan shroud it's self,the saw is a 064 crank case with a 660 crank,polymer flywheel and top end

It may be aftermarket junk or there's something in a bind. Check to make sure it's not rubbing on something in there.

Try putting some grease on the rotor axle (sprocket tip grease)  I would have to say that if it is your third am set that has went bad, I would be trying an oe set. But like gatekeeper said check for some thing binding up on you. Also make sure the spring clip is not bent or deformed. If it falls off there is nothing else to hold it together.

I had a prob with 066 recoil once.  When you install everything before putting on saw. Are you testing. Pull rope quick with recoil off and see if pawls pop out and then go back in smoothly and quickly when you let rope retract.

Agreed with cut make sure the pawls expand and contract like they should. Had the same thing happen on a 460 once trashed everything, rotor,pawls,washer,spring clip,and pull cord all down the drain.

i did check that they were coming out but didn't notice if they was going in all the way when i get the new oem parts this time, ill check that out.thanks guys

I have never had much luck with aftermarket starter parts for any brand.
