Chainsaw Repair

Question for you smarter than me guys. I have an 044 that uses that oval shaped heavy duty paper air filter.. I have never been all that happy with the way it seals so I found a different style on e-bay. It looks more like the standard air filters from a 026,029,034,039 etc. It is called a " Winter" air filter.. My question is if I use this new style light duty mesh over plastic filter, will I have to re-tune or will the faster air intake cause rpm increases to an unfavorable level or would you say it should work fine. 

Be aware of the lack of fine dust/dirt filtering with that type filter.
