Good old Louis had some good ideas but the worst was planting of multiflora roses for fence rows . Had he stuck to osage orange it would have been fine but those damned roses would just take over and engulf everything in about 20-30 years .

The birds would eat the seeds from the ripe rose hips and eject the things starting new roses and the battle carried on of how to get rid of them .

When I built my shop I bulldozed a pile up the size of a 3 bedroom house and burned the whole mess .Under that mess was a hay mower and an 8 foot disc my dad had forgoten he even owned .
