Sorry guys I'll test that 63PS chain versus the .325 Oregon 95 VPX ASAP. My tree service has been very busy lately ,customers coming at me from every angle out of the wood work.
Gotta make money before I can play.

Another 1st user.  ;) ;D

Stihl PS chain came today. Laid next to the N1 Carlton the biggest difference seemed to be the rakers. The Stihl's was just straight,no profile side to side unlike the Carlton that had a slight profile. So I threw  a chain on the Dolmar 420 with the Sugi hard nose, took it out to a Hard Rock Maple limb that had fallen across the fence. From the very first cut I knew something was up.The reviews are right this stuff rips. From branches to the butt(about 12")buzzed right through it.Didn't seem grabby at all.It requires power, once I got into the bigger part of the branch I had to let the saw work without pushing(like your supposed to) but still plenty quick. After everything was on the ground I stood a chunk up and end cut it,no problem. Then I laid one down and noodled it,tip buried again no problem.

 >:( still not available in Canada going by what the local stihl dealer says. I bought a couple loops of the ps3 when I was over visiting my parents in
Oswego about almost a year ago. was in the local stihl dealer yesterday with one of the loops showing them and they just had zero info on it. also no response from stihl Canada about delivery date. we're still the last ones to get the good stuff. :'(

I was visiting cut4fun today and he had some straight "PS" yellow chain that he showed me. That was some fine looking chain for 3/8" Low Profile.

I'm going to try a loop of 63PS out on my Poulan S25-CVA (38cc).  Will also try it on my PP295 to compare it against .325 pitch on a 46cc saw.  May be a little while before  I get to it though...

I would give bet on .325 RSC over PS on 46cc.

That's my thought too.

Well,

I tried the 63PS on my OE346.
I can't see ever putting anything else on it!!!
It is faster than any of the .325 chains I've had on it and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much smoother than regular 3/8ths.
I'm now looking to change over a Poulan 3000/305 or one of the many other configurations of that saw and see how it does.

Mike did you have any .325 stihl RSC with the bigger cutters then other .325 chains to try?
