i think you need to fix the compression problem before worrying about the fuel line and vent.

The  best  Place  to order parts for the chainsaw ??
I have order a pistol ring ..I lookt  inside  the opening of the  maffler  and it seamd ok ut the pistol ring was so  stack

The ring 99% of the time will be   44mm 1.5mm  common ring you can get from anywhere.

I'm going to send you service manual and then delete your email for you.  work shop manual is sent.

NOS, Used, aftermarket and most parts from the Partner 5500  and 500 ,  Poulan 325 , Jonsered 490 and 590 will interchange with 5000

I will keep up to date with my renovation.
I'm pretty green when it comes to chainsaws. But I will not give up easily, and consider myself quite handy ;D ;D ;D

They are a great saw I am sure once you have repaired it you will get years of good use out of it

Yea looks good i sprayed the chain cover black as well all the paint was peeling off looks good now  :D

No there isnt for the full circle 5000 plus piston. Like hens teeth at times.

There is a used p+c for sale by Roanoker494 $80

I just sold my last set with whole running saw for $100.

New OEM show up from time to time. But be prepared to pay big prices for those.

Art put a 246 piston in one for a replacement and he said it worked great.

I think I may have a complete oem gasket and seal kit left over from builds back when I raced them.
