MS290 Mystery Wire

We rebuilt our MS290 chainsaw and, of course, have an extra wire. Any idea what it is and where it goes?

It looks like the ground wire for the switch. Turn the switch off and check for spark, you shouldn't have one.

Should go from the ignition module mount screw the ground screw on the cylinder.

They run 2 ground wires from the module screw to the cylinder. One wire has 2 ring terminals. The other has 2 ring terminals and 1 spade terminal to the contact spring in the lower left corner of the carb box.
