The O-ring is 6.1 X 1.6 and goes between the pump and the plastic connector that plugs into the hose. O-ring 9646-945-0355 

Here's some of the rubber parts . . .



The O-ring is shown installed on the connector in the bottom picture

Thank you everyone who replied! The mystery is solved! I was seating the oil pump in too far. I assumed you just tap it in till it runs into the stop. A fellow at Stihl customer support told me the oil pump has to be positioned so the output hole lines up with the oil port in the housing. I measured and observed the placement as I inserted the oil pump and it's working great.

It was so confusing because all the oil passageways were open, and it had a new oil pump and it was still not working. I hope this info helps other people.
