Tractor Supply screws

I may be a bit slow but i'll post this anyhow. I just bought a bunch of allen head machine screws for Husqvarna cylinders, mufflers,recoil covers etc. I didn't know they had them. :-[ .99 cents for two. Accidenty walked by them. ::) I have been buying them online >:(

--or 44.5 cents a pop .If they are just allen heads you can do a lot better buying a box of  them  through Mc Master Carr.

Now the large headed torx type that Stihl uses you're just about limited to OEM because as of yet I've not found them any place so far that sells them but I'm certain they do exist .As is customary they are quite proud of them at a buck or two a pop depending on what it is .

I do like the torx type better. I have not stripped a torx screw out yet, whereas i have allen heads.(knock on wood).

I can show you guys a aftermarket torx for stihl and allen for husky. Never tried them yet though.

You know they are going to be china made  for sure.

 You can find regular torx head but they aren't the over sized head type .

These are  stihl china copies in the forester brand stuff, like everything else out there now days.

I've been using the Forester Torx ones for about a year, for pretty much everything
except cylinder bolts.

Haven't had any problems with them. A bag of 10 screws, or other hardware costs 3-5$

If you guys need any let me know I'm ordering from Forester at least once a week.

There a definate difference in socket headed fasteners .Probabley the top of the line would be Holo Krome /Allen brand .It's what we use at work and more times than not you'll break the allen wrench before you get a socket head failure  in the bolt .

Now the question arises ,how do you break an allen wrench---with a 2 foot cheater pipe . ;D

Bright lightbulb just went off  ;D. You know allen wrenches in all those different sizes would make good clutch removal tool pins for that adjustable one you made me for the 166 clutch.  Would beat using those square screwdriver shanks with not near the size possibility's.

I never thought about it , duh .Real good idea .I doubt you'd  break them because they're made of vanadium steel  usually .
