What folks and I  told you to use for finish files is all you need.  Some of the best chain makers out there in the real race chain world, now use them too.

I use to square grind and make chain. It's a lot of thankless work. Lol

You had a square grinder and do not use it any more or did you get rid of your grinder.

Im giving square filing a try again and it seems to cut good but i notice my saw dust is long like it is when you cut the length of the log. Is this good or bad? It was a chain i converted over from round ground. Are my rakers to low or high or is this normal for square chain

The rakers should be the same height on a square ground chain as on a round ground chain.   If the rakers are to low the chain will get to aggressive and will be grabby when in the wood instead of being smooth.
Also if your throwing good chips that sounds ok to me.

Ok ive never had sawdust come out 3 or 4 inches long before thought maybe something was done wrong
