crank seals
« on: September 13, 2014, 03:12:42 pm »
Just recently I bought a really nice Partner R16 for 30.00 and would like to stock up on a few parts.Does know of parts place that might have crank seals, rings, etc., Can't believe this saw pumps out 155 PSI,runs real strong for an old saw.

Many saws excluding Stihl use standard size bearings and seals which are easy/cheap to get.  IPL for r16   doesn't show bearing size as far as I know. Pictures I've seen of the crank bearings g on that saw look like standard issue bearings

Isn't it the same chassis as the 55/65?

I am picking up a Skil 1632 soon, Partner F55 I believe.  Seller says it's seized but I'm gambling on a recoil issue.  It is selling for not a lot so even if it is seized I can probably get my money out of it part parting it out.

So what I thought was a 1632 (F55) turned out to be a 1646 (F65).  I was right about the seized statement. One of the coil bolts had come loose jamming the flywheel.  Cleaned up the carb and new fuel line and filter and away she went.  came with a nice 20" bar and good chain.  65cc of old school grunt!

Got to love that. I take care of a 65 a guy bought new. Nice grunt saws like you say.
